I went to Office Depot just now. They had a laptop on sales for $299 with a big hard drive and a lot of memory. Well, it could have had a faster processor. Still, paid $2000 for a laptop approx nine years ago. Also $999 for a laptop in 2006 that is super slow now. It still runs XP, but most new programs want more memory.
